Shopping to Slim Your Waist and Wallet- July 7th

Hope everyone had as much fun celebrating America's birthday as we did here at Market Street! We have a TON of fresh fruit ripe for the picking and at these prices who can resist? This week's recipe takes into consideration some awesome deals and a weekend spent enjoying the holiday.

Fresh Berry Salad (serves 4)
2 cups diced grilled chicken (On sale, $4.99 lb)
1/2 cup each blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries (2-6oz pkg for $3)
1/2 cup halved strawberries (2-16 oz pkg for $3)
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
6 cups raw spinach (2-9oz pkg for $3)
1/2 cup Balsamic Vinaigrette
1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
Toss ingredients, except feta cheese, in balsamic vinaigrette. Divide into four portions, sprinkle each with 1/8 cup feta cheese. 

Per serving: 345 Calories, 20 g fat (4.8 sat), 647 mg sodium, 14 g Carb, 4 g Fiber, 28 g Protein

This salad is perfect for these hot, humid days of Texas summer and will fill you up without weighing you down. It not only satisfies, it provides a variety of healthy benefits:
