Perfectly Pumpkin

They are here! They are here! I saw Market Street setting up all the pumpkin displays last week. Then the cool air came in and everything is Pumpkin Perfect.

I've always been fond of the pumpkin. Maybe it's because it is my dad's pet name for me, perhaps because its the first sign of the holiday season or because the smell of a pumpkin latte is enough to make me give up any secret.
Last year I made this delicious recipe for a homemade pumpkin latte. Drink it on a football Sunday and you'll feel Perfectly Pumpkin.

Ingredients:
2 tablespoons canned pumpkin puree
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1-2 packets Splenda or Stevia (or 1 tablespoon sugar)
1 cup fat free milk 
1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
1.5 fluid ounce/shot of brewed espresso

1. Brew espresso.
2. In saucepan, heat remaining ingredients over medium heat until slightly frothy.
3. Pour espresso in cup, top with milk mixture. Enjoy!!
