Want to strut your runway walk down the aisles of Market Street?

One of my favorite television shows is about two style experts who travel the country rescuing fashion victims from their drab and ill-fitting wardrobes. Many of the closets are stuffed wall to wall with all black clothing or contain remnants of fashion fads that have long since died. One of the hosts sings a mantra for the best way to put together an outfit: "color, pattern, texture, shine!" As the words resound in my head I begin to wonder how many of us need to give our dinner plates a makeover? How many plates are only one or two colors, or contain remnants of previous fad diets that have long since died? Could we revitalize our meals with the simple chant "color, pattern, texture, shine"?
