What's New: McCormick Easter Giveaway



Just in time for Easter, we are giving away a McCormick Spring Time Box. McCormick provides so many colorful and creative recipes on their website. One of the recipes that really caught my eye was the Very Vanilla Fruit Salad. Wouldn't this be the perfect addition to an Easter Brunch?




McCormick Very Vanilla Fruit Salad
Makes 10 (1/2-cup) servings.

Ingredients
2 cups strawberries, halved,
1 cup blueberries,
1 cup fresh or canned pineapple chunks,
1 cup cantaloupe chunks,
2 kiwis, peeled and sliced,
1/4 cup confectioners' sugar,
2 teaspoons McCormick® Pure Vanilla Extract (although I'm tempted to try Almond extract)

Directions
1. Mix fruit, confectioners' sugar and vanilla in large bowl. Cover.
2. Refrigerate 1 hour or until ready to serve.

2. A recipe or suggestion for how you use or plan to use 2 of the 6 items in the box. (The two items must be in the same recipe, not two separate ways to use the items).

3. McCormick Ground Mustard
4. McCormick Pure Lemond Extract
5. McCormick Pure Vanilla Extract
6. McCormick Pure Almond Extract

A winner will be selected on March 22 and notified through the blog and on Facebook. If the winner resides in the DFW area, the box will be taken to their nearest Market Street for pickup. If the winner resides outside the DFW area, the box will be sent via mail.

  4. I'd love to win this to bake for my husband & for the many events we attend! I love experimenting with all sorts of recipes but one of my favorites is a cherry breakfast tart I make with Almond & Vanilla extract (and of course fresh cherries when I can find them!) Yum!

  5. I would use vanilla & lemon extract to celebrate spring by baking lemon cupcakes covered with lemon cream frosting. Nothing says spring like yellow!

  7. I have been experimenting with lots of natural organic foods..and new baking goods. I think all of these spices would make a unique addition to some new recipes. i have made some delicious stuff, and some not so delicious stuff...its a matter of trial and error!

  11. Oh - I love Market Street. We don't have one here, but it is a "must stop" on my trips to Wichita Falls and Dallas when I visit friends.
    I have had a recipe bookmarked for 3 or 4 years for Vanilla Tarragon Mustard that calls for ground mustard and vanilla extract. I wonder if that would be good on my Easter Ham?
