Dietitian's Top Pick: Mag Melons

Shopping in the produce section can be a little scary at times.  Especially if you are unfamiliar with a certain fruit or vegetable.  Fruit and vegetables are products that provide great sources of vitamins, minerals, and tons of health benefits.  Next time you're out shopping, I encourage you to try adding a new fruit or vegetable you have been afraid to your grocery basket.  I also encourage you to try the new product as soon as you get home!   Something you may want to try is this week's top pick, the Del Monte MAG Melon

You'll find Mag Melons in the produce
department, typically in mesh bags.

This melon is similar to a cantaloupe.  The MAG melon is smaller in size but allows for more value for purchase because there are smaller and fewer seeds.

You'll see that the Mag Melon (on the left) has less seeds and empty space than a cantaloupe (on the right).
