Dietitian's Top Pick: Barilla Plus Angel Hair Pasta

If you are trying to make the switch from white pasta to wheat, Barilla Plus Angel Hair Pasta is a good place to start.  The thinner strands of pasta often give a less coarse mouth feel than the larger noodles-making an easier transition to the new texture.
Remember that wheat pasta needs to be cooked a few minutes longer than white pasta to achieve a similar and desirable texture. Most change takes time but you will love this pasta even more than you love white pasta!

According to The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics it is important that at least 50% of your daily grains are whole grain, changing to whole wheat pasta is the easiest switch for many people to make as it takes very little time for you and your family to get used to the change and accept the slightly coarser texture you will notice with whole wheat versions of your favorite pasta. In addition this product is one we use often at home and love the quality!
