Dietitian's Top Pick: Food Club California Style Vegetables



Choosing frozen vegetables is a great choice over canned anytime.  Food Club brand products are a good budget choice and with added herbs and spices you can create a dish with a 5 star rating! Try this recipe for a yummy side dish tonight:

Herb Roasted Veggies
1 bag of Food Club Frozen California Style Vegetables
3-4 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
¾ tsp of garlic powder
¾ teaspoon of dried oregano
½ tsp dried thyme
¼ tsp of pepper
¼ tsp of sugar
¼ tsp of salt
Place the veggies in a single layer in an ungreased casserole pan. Combine the spices and olive oil in a small dish then drizzle mixture over vegetables and toss to coat. Bake uncovered at 425° for 20 minutes or until veggies are tender, stir at 10 minutes. Serves 4.
