Quick, Easy, and Nutritious Summer Snack Station for the kids…
Now that schools out and the kids are at home more, they seem hungry ALL
the time! Maybe it’s the swimming or playing outside but either way you need a
quick and easy snack station! This is where I recommend the muffin tin [insert
sigh and confusion]. You are probably wondering “why would a Dietitian
recommend muffins?!” Well as much as I do enjoy an occasional muffin, I am
recommending you put your muffin tin to a NEW use as a Summer Snack Station! This quick and easy station is packed with
tummy filling fiber and protein…not to mention a great source of vitamins and
minerals like vitamin C and calcium. The good thing about this snack station is
that you can set it out when they are hungry and then put it back in the fridge
until they are hungry again. You can even involve the kids by having them build
the snack station (after you have done the peeling and slicing of course). See

work just as well!
