Roasted Green Beans with Brown Sugar and Peppered Bacon

Happy Spring! I love using fresh produce to make tasty side dishes. One of my favorite veggie side dishes is green beans (loved by most), with a dash of bacon (loved by many)! Check out the recipe below for a sweet and salty version of a famous vegetable.


 Here are a few a the ingredients you will need:


 

The mouth-watering finished dish:
Oven Roasted Green Beans with Brown Sugar and Peppered Bacon
Serves 8

Ingredients
2 pounds fresh green beans
1 Tbsp (or as needed) Olive Oil
4 Strips of thick sliced bacon  (diced)
½ tsp freshly ground black peppercorn
¼ tsp salt
1-2 Tbsp light brown sugar

*Tip: Look for the Boar’s Head brand brown sugar peppered bacon in the deli!

Directions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F
1.Pat green beans dry with paper towel after washing, spread onto pan, drizzle with olive oil.
2.Sprinkle on spices, sugar, & bacon.
3.Roast in oven until beans have brown spots, 20-25 minutes
