Stuff You Gotta Try at Market Street: Honey Almond Protein Cereal

Okay, so probably most people wouldn't think much of this unassuming box. It's simple design and lack of showy claims could get overshadowed by much brighter boxes. But, don't miss out on this cereal!

Over the last few weeks, we've showcased some newer and new favorite products (Go Picnic, PB2, & Super Food Chips). Kay's Natural Honey Almond Protein Cereal is not just another toasted oat breakfast in a bowl.

Here are a few pros and cons:
Pros:
  • 12 grams of protein! Before you even add the milk or non-dairy milk
  • 4g fiber
  • 3g of sugar (we like to see cereals with more fiber than sugar)
  • Certified Gluten Free
  • No artificial preservatives, additives or sweeteners
  • Only 120 calories
  • Favorite part: this cereal does not get soggy 20 seconds after you pour the milk! It stays so crunchy through the entire bowl.
  • 10% Daily Value of iron
  • A great choice for someone with diabetes
Cons:
  • Most of the fiber is added instead of naturally occurring
  • Contains soy (for those allergic)
  • Contains stevia (for those who don't like the taste)
