Top 5 Things to Do on Black Friday

1. Eat light.

If you're like most people, you probably did some damage yesterday with all that amazing food. But don't worry, as long as you don't extend Thanksgiving all the way to December 25th, you can easily bounce back with a few extra walks and a few smaller meals.

On Black Friday, the last thing I want to do is cook. I did that for hours yesterday. So an easy solution is to head over to Market Street for lunch or dinner. Besides the amazing salad bar and our sushi (made on site), we have our Living Well Favorites menu.

Turkey Meatloaf: 1 mini loaf has 290 calories, 11g fat, 2.5g saturated fat, 0g trans fat, 80mg cholesterol, 700mg sodium, 17g carbohydrates, 1g fiber, 3g sugar, 32g protein.

Ginger Cilantro Pork Loin: 6 oz has 240 calories, 12g fat, 4.5g saturated fat, 0g trans fat, 100mg cholesterol, 440mg sodium, 1g carbohydrate, 0g fiber, 0g sugar, 33g protein.

2. Sneak in some exercise.

Don't panic! You don't have to run a race. Take the family on a bike ride, walk to the neighborhood park, play a game of tag, have a dance contest on your game console. The goal here is movement, family and fun.

3. Get a good deal.

You can't let Black Friday slip away without at least one good deal. I'm going to save all the early morning shopping for everyone else and get a good steal online. 

Bonus tip: when you stop by Market Street to eat lunch or dinner (see #1) be sure to stock up on the clearance Thanksgiving decorations for next year, or even snag a few decorations for Christmas. Have you seen the gorgeous Christmas trees and decorations in floral? Gasp! #Gorgeous!

4. Take a nap. 

If you didn't get a good nap in yesterday (perhaps because you were cleaning dishes or visiting with friends and family), be sure to sneak in one today. If you are like me, sleep has been minimal lately and we all know the health benefits of sleep.

5. Start the Christmas celebration!

If you don't already have your Christmas decorations up, today is a good day to start. Pull out the decorations, brush off the dust and delegate who gets to put up the lights, set up the nativity, decorate the trees, hang the stockings, etc.

So according to our list, you can accomplish 3 of the 5 tasks by going to Market Street. Of course I guess you could take a few laps around the store to accomplish the exercise part and even take a nap in your car in our super comfy parking lot - hehe!
